what is it like after driving with Uber for a year?

Ubering after a year!

Time flies, it was about a year now ever since I started ubering one year ago.

I started then when UBER introduced the free rental and free petrol via UFC (Uber Flexi Club) platform. During that time, I was using the car from Smove.

It was an hourly rental platform, however during that promotion, we are able to rent the car for FREE for a week. Likewise for petrol, we can claim it and get it for FREE too. Those were the days..........

Right now, I'm renting LCR car as after my 5 weeks contract with them (FREE rental also as I won a lucky draw), they gave me some rebates which I thought it was worth it to continue the rental.

Also, during CNY, I opted in to distribute Ang Baos to 20 selected riders.

I felt like a Chinese Santa Claus!

It was very enjoyable to see all these well-wishes!

Not every drivers will get to distribute UBER's Ang Baos despite most have opted in. I felt so honoured to be able to do so.

It was also fulfilling to see smiling faces from all those riders who have had received the Ang Baos.

Lastly, I would also like to express my gratitude and appreciation to UBER for invited me to a UBER lunch together with those selected drivers who clocked more than 1000 trips!

Right now, I'm already into my 3000 plus trips and many more trips to come!

Private Hire Car Driver's Vocational Licence (PDVL)

PDVL EXAM Yesterday 29th January 2018, I just took my PDVL exam. I was very nervous as I told myself I do not want to waste time and money to retake again. Therefore, just one day before ( which was Sunday) the exam, I studied real hard. I studied all the highlighted portion (which our trainer, Ken told us to highlight) and also did the online mock papers . As I was told by someone that there are total 4 sets of paper per exam , so in order for me not to miss out any of those, I did multiple times of revision online . Our Tampines Hub

I still remember the last time I was waiting for a Uber pool passenger for way more than 2 minutes and cancel the ride after he refused to turn up. Never did I expect that I will be here again just within a few weeks time, but this time round searching for UberX passengers. Do you know the name of this place? Yes, this place is known as Our Tampines Hub . So as usual, I would follow Uber Map and not surprisingly Uber Map brought me to the same location as previous which is just right after a small round about before going into the carpark . As I didn't see the rider, I messaged and called the rider "Hi Madam, I have arrived. May I know where are you?" "I saw your car moving please stop!" said the passenger.  Immediately I knew that she saw the wrong driver, I was stopping along the roadside and didn't move at all! "Madam, I think you saw the wrong car. Tell me where are you and I will be right there." I said.
